GoPro Accessories Kit

Yes yes, I know, we all love GoPro accessories. Us GoPro enthusiasts can quickly spend more than the cost of the GoPro camera itself without realizing it! I have purchased quite a few accessories and mounts myself, but do you know what I’ve never purchased? A GoPro Accessories Kit. Crazy, I know. I explained my thoughts behind accessory kits in my video on the top 5 accessories every GoPro newbie needs, but I recently took a look through the fascinating report of what purchases the VidProMom audience has made through my Amazon affiliate links. Don’t freak out–the report doesn’t tell me who bought what, so no, I don’t who bought a 3-pack of tighty whiteys or what kitty litter your cat prefers. But I do know what the most popular GoPro accessories kits are based on my audience. So let’s break it down!

Looking at the list of GoPro accessories kit purchases, they are all compatible with all model GoPros so these are the types of kits you’re probably looking for. There were 3 clear winners as far as top purchases go, and the breakdown by brands in the top 3 is Black Pro – 42%, Lifelimit – 29%, and Nomadic Gear – 29%. While the Black Pro kit is the clear winner overall, it’s not like it won by a lot, so let’s break down what comes in these kits and what they cost.

Black Pro Basic Common Outdoor Sports Kit for GoPro – $13.50

The Black Pro Basic accessory kit is described as being compatible with Hero 6, Hero 5, Fusion, Session… all GoPro models actually. This particular kit has 4.5 stars on Amazon and has over 1600 reviews, and the description lists the following items as part of the kit:

  • Wrist band
  • Headband
  • Pouch
  • Bicycle clip
  • Chest strap
  • Extendable Handle Monopod
  • 360 degree rotation backpack clip
  • 2 J-hooks
  • 2 Adapter
  • Cleaning cloth
  • Car Suction Cup Mount Holder
  • Tool
  • Floating Handle Grip

Lifelimit Accessories Starter Kit for GoPro – $17

The Lifelimit Accessories Starter Kit also seems to be compatible with all model GoPro cameras. For just a few dollars more than the Black Pro kit, you get a few more accessories though:

  • Octopus Tripod
  • Suction cup
  • Floaty bobber with strap and screw
  • 360-degree Rotation Clip & Screw.
  • Extendable Handheld Monopod Pole
  • Bicycle Handlebar / Seatpost Clamp with Three-way Adjustable Pivot Arm
  • 4 Flat & 4x Curved Mounts with adhesive pads
  • chest harness
  • Headstrap Mount
  • LifeLimite large size pouch
  • 360-degree Rotation, New Wrist Mount
  • Black Tripod Mount Adapter
  • 2 GoPro Surface J-Hooks
  • 5 long thumbscrews
  • Frame Mount Housing (HERO4 / HERO 3 / HERO3+ cameras only)

Nomadic Gear 55-in-1 Action Camera Accessories Kit for GoPro – Currently unavailable

The Nomadic Gear 55-in-1 kit is currently not available, but since it was in the top 3 GoPro accessories kit purchases, I wanted to include it here (it may become available again in the future, who knows?). There are kits from the same brand that is similar to it, though, like the Neewer 50-In-1 Action Camera Accessory Kit for GoPro, which runs $22. The Neewer kit comes with:

  • Suction cup
  • Floating Handle Grip
  • Strap
  • 360-degree Rotation Clip
  • Insurance Tether Straps
  • Wrist Strap
  • Handheld Monopod
  • Bicycle Handlebar
  • Chest Strap
  • Headstrap Mount
  • Wrench
  • Wrist Mount with Screw
  • Tripod Mount Adapter
  • Carring Case
  • Helmet Extension Arm
  • Helmet Strap Mount
  • Mini Tripod
  • Switch Support
  • Surface J-Hook Buckle
  • Basic Mount
  • Flat Mounts
  • Curved Mounts
  • Screws
  • Adhesive Pads
  • Anti-fog Inserts

Are you an accessory kit person? I’m really not, but I can see how the pricing on these kits is tempting, considering the sheer amount of mounts, straps, do-dads, and accessories that come in them!
