Did you know the GoPros come with something called Protune? By default it’s set to “off” but by turning it on, you can unlock secret settings that give you more control over your footage. For example, you can set your ISO, color correcting, white balance, sharpness and exposure.
GoPros are really good at making your footage look really good automatically. But Protune gives you more control over the outcome of your footage.
The downside of that is that you have to spend more time editing your footage to make it awesome. And, your file sizes will be bigger as well (THUMBS DOWN TO THAT!).
Here’s a little more about Protune and whether I use it or not.

Hi Lain, I am a new user of go pro and I have the hero 4 silver, what is the best video setting to get a good resolution of my movies? Thanks!

Hey Michael, I recommend shooting in 1080p. That's a nice big HD video but it's not a huge file size. The higher the resolution, the bigger the files and the longer it will take for you to transfer your clips to your computer, edit, and export them as movies.
